    Captain Parker and his wife Zaide have the privilege of owning Sitka expeditions with the hopes of showing guests to Alaska how special Sitka is. Born and raised in Sitka, having put countless hours into his expertise on the water, Captain Parker spent 11 years of his dedicated to being a firefighter and police officer serving the community of Sitka. 

    Parker and Zaide have long local lineage in Sitka. Both were raised on the water and know the local history. Local knowledge is vital to providing safe and enriching tours.WE always like to say, theres no one that knows the water better than a local!

  • Jac Ochoa

    Deckhand/Naturalist

    Excited for her third season in Sitka, Jac comes from a background in photo journalism that has taken her all over the world; from living in Bangkok and Sydney to backpacking throughout Europe and the Americas.

    Two years ago Jac made the transition to spending summer in Sitka and guiding in New Zealand in the winter. Now she calls Sitka home full time!

Captained by Parker, the F/V Polaris is our brand-new, state-of-the-art 34-foot North River, built in 2024 and purpose-designed for comfort and performance in everything Sitka's waters can throw at us. Step inside a warm, enclosed cabin featuring three air-ride seats — spacious, smooth, and built for a comfortable ride from dock to wildlife. Powered by twin 300-horsepower Yamaha outboards and a 250-gallon fuel tank, the Polaris gets us to Sitka's best fishing and wildlife viewing spots quickly, so you spend less time traveling and more time watching.


M/V ALASKAN

Built for Alaskan waters, the Alaskan is a Bentz-built vessel designed to handle the state's rugged conditions with ease. At nearly 11 feet wide and 31 feet long, she feels like a fortress on the water — stable, capable, and ready for anything the Sitka coastline brings. Onboard, you'll find 13 air-ride passenger seats, generous interior and exterior space, and a private onboard bathroom, giving every guest plenty of room and comfort while taking in Sitka's incredible wildlife.
